What's everyone been doing this winter?

I'm curious.  Besides trying to get a new AHL team in Worcester (which we finally got for this upcoming October), what's everyone been doing during this time?  Are you still following the AHL?  Have you found or are searching for a new hobby?  Are you so depressed about losing the IceCats, you've committed suicide by now?  What are you doing?

Watching hockey, and a decent amount of it. I've hit some of the usual places a time or two- Holy Cross, Hartford, Danbury, Providence, Lowell and Manchester.

The last few years I've made it a point to hit new places. This year I've added college games at Umass-Lowell, Providence College, Boston University, and Uconn, and pro games at Elmira (UHL), NY Islanders, Dallas and Austin (CHL). Probably going to make Umass and Reading before the year is out.

TJO668, how do you like the UHL games? Just wondering; I have never been to a UHL game. The New York Islanders games are a lot of fun, but $120 is a lot of money for a ticket to a hockey game.

The U is fine. No real difference in the level of play among the U, C and ECHL. The U carries a lot more veterans (7 per team) and as a result doesn't have as many prospects. The league tends to play in older, smaller buildings as well. It's a lower budget league and has more than it's fair share of off-ice problems year in and year out, but the level of play on the ice is fine.

High ticket prices on the Island, but you can still get a $30 seat in the 300's.
