Trust me, I know that sometimes the words aren't quite there and it could be difficult on how to approach someone. I got this for the DCU Center - it might help.
"Hi, my name is ___________________ and I’m a former season ticket holder for the Worcester IceCats. I’m helping to support the effort to get an AHL team back to Worcester for the 2006 season.
The City is conducting a pledge drive to get 3,000 ticket committed by the end of December. As a previous season ticket holder, we received the information and a form in the mail.
Anyone who signs up will get a number based on the day they pledge to choose a seat. They’ve given previous season ticket holders until November 16th (that’s this week; that’s tomorrow or that’s today) to submit their pledge and move to the front of the line for seat selection. If you haven’t pledge yet, make sure you do! They intend to drastically cut down the seating with a curtain system so it will be much tougher to get good seats in the future.
This is our chance to get AHL hockey back for Worcester. Show your support, Find a friend or neighbor to share tickets.
If you need more information it’s on the internet at worcesterhockey.com or call the DCU Center at 508-755-6800 and they can answer all your questions."
Please remember that you are calling as a fellow season ticket holder to make sure they don't miss the preferred deadline. This should not be an agressive sales call but a friendly neighborly heads up on the deadline.
If you did not take a sheet for calling, we have several left and could use additional volunteers. Please respond to this email and we will send you one sheet (about 50 names). If you get an answering machine or voicemail, just leave the message. No need to call back at a later time. Fairly simple!!
