Have you have the people running for city government knocking on your door asking for your vote? Or calling? Well, ask them what they are doing to bring pro hockey back to Worcester. City Councilors and the mayor helped bring baseball back to Worcester - ask them specificially what they are doing to bring hockey back. |

I've been waiting for those guys to come a-knockin' on my door, but no one has shown up yet.
Plannin' the ambush.... "Get me an AHL hockey team, then I'll vote for you!"

Short of Mayor Murray there isn't an individual elected member of city government that can help in this matter... |

I gotta disagree a bit. Even a symbolic gesture (as in saying anything) would be good. I haven't heard one person on the council (other than Murray) say anything about getting hockey back. Some of them seem so oblivious to as to what the IceCats meant to the city. It would be nice to see people other than Murray, Moore, Dunn and O'Brien say that they're doing what they can to get a team back in here. Palmeiri helped get a baseball team in here. I don't see anyone else stepping forward to help out in finding us a hockey team/owners. I do however remember a couple of them say that baseball would fill the void - which first of all it doesn't, and second of all there is no reason why we can't have both.
And on a side note - if that little prick Joff Smith comes back knocking on my parents door and acts like a smart ass again - he's going to get a beating.. :-) |
