Black Tuesday - Nov 9th-04 Shall be known as Black Tuesday in Worcester. Today the Blues announced that the IceCats have been sold to the Peoria Rivermen Which are the Echl affiliate of the IceCats, they will be moving to the AHL next season and keeping their name. The price was said to be 2 Million. Keep the faith as Worcester is currently looking for a team to come to Worcester.
Owners Of the Icecats - Sept 14th 01 it was announced the St Louis Blues bought the team.

John Ferguson Jr promoted 27th Sept 01 - 29th August 03. On friday 29th Aug 03 it was announced that John got the job of GM for the Maple Leafs. He is the youngest Gm in the NHL @36 years old.

Strange things during a IceCats game - During the 3rd period against Springfield At home April 11th a bat flew out on the ice and around the Centrum.
Up to that point the IceCats were loosing 1-0 after the bat was caught we came back to win the game 2-1
Note Play was not stopped when the bat flew out . Romurs are that the bat was asleep in the rafters.

Jan 22 -99 - Brent Johnson was with out a backup goalie until Steve Tepper head of sales telephoned a friend and convinced him to do the job for a night. John Nicholson was his name he was from Northboro and played goal for Algonquin Regional and graduated in 1976. He wore number 43.
March 22nd 98 - Ken Gordon honored as the 1 millionth fan at an IceCats game.

April 24th 04 - IceCats win Atlantic Division semifinal series 4-2 against the Manchester Monarchs. The IceCats best-of-seven series win for the first time in franchise history.
Dec 3rd/O4 - IceCats 1st shootout against Hershey. The Shootout rule is new for the 04/05 season.If after ot the teams are tied the there will be a five man shootout
Dec 10th/04 The only game the IceCats were did not get a penalty called on them
Amazing Shutouts- During the 02-03 season goaltender Cody Rudkowsky got a shutout in the ECHL/AHL/NHL. He is the only IceCat goaltender to do this.
Quickest injury on ice - 02-03 Daniel Corso only played for 1 sec on home ice before getting injured for the season
Longest IceCats game - May 5th 04 - Playoffs IceCats Vs Hartford - 3 OT's lenght 4hrs 12
IceCats won 3-2. note - it was the 11th longest AHL game
Prosponed games - Jan 23rd 05 The game @ 4:05pm against Manchester Monarchs was cancled due to heavy snow(the blizzard of 05). The game was rescheduled for Feb 23rd @7:05pm
